DOHA, QATAR – Anima Gallery is delighted to announce “Valdés” a solo Exhibition by Manolo Valdés, The exhibition will open on May 8, 2024, at the St. Regis Marsa Arabia, The Pearl Qatar,  and will continue until June 8, 2024.

This will be the artist’s first solo exhibition in Doha, Qatar.

Manolo Valdés, a renowned Spanish artist, captivates audiences worldwide with his mesmerizing sculptures, paintings, and prints. Born in Valencia in 1942, Valdés first gained recognition as part of the esteemed artistic group Equipo Crónica (Chronicle Team) in the 1960s. Since then, he has embarked on a solo career, firmly establishing himself as one of Spain’s leading contemporary artists.

Valdés draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including art history, literature, and cultural symbols, blending classical motifs with modern interpretations. His sculptures are notable for their bold shapes and vibrant colors, which have adorned public spaces and galleries internationally, leaving a lasting impression on viewers with their dynamic presence and timeless charm.

Valdés by Manolo Valdés Exhibition will feature monumental floor sculptures, pedestal sculptures and paintings from the artist’s studio.
