Anima Gallery, in partnership with The Palestinian Museum – Birzeit, proudly presents “FRAGMENTATION”. An exhibition primarily showcasing the works of Palestinian artists living in Palestine, in dialogue with artists from the diaspora. The exhibition explores the theme of cultural fragmentation, echoing the connection between those who remain on their ancestral land and those scattered across the world. In doing so, the exhibition underscores the ongoing failed attempts to erase Palestinian identity, which began with the 1948 Nakba and continues today.
The exhibition features artists from inside Palestine: Alaa Albaba, Afia Nawasra, Amjad Ghannam, Bashar Alhroub, Essa Ghrayeb, Fouad Ighbarie, Hiba Tanous, Jawad Al Malhi, Khaled Hourani, Majd Masri, Mohammad Saleh Khalil, Nabil Anani, Reem Masri, Reem Natshe & Tayseer Barakat. Their work cuts through the noise to reflect the reality of a homeland that’s constantly in flux, fragmented yet fiercely resilient.
In dialogue with their work are several Palestinian diaspora artists: Aissa Deebi, Abdelrahman Katanani, Hazem Harb, Jumanah Abbas & Noor Abu Issa.Their pieces bring in a different perspective—one shaped by distance, but still very much rooted in the same Palestinian saga.
