Morrison Pierce
Morrison Pierce has been a painter for the last 25 years, working in various styles and mediums. His work has been exhibited in places such as Scope Miami, David Lusk Gallery in 2005, Super chief Gallery Miami. He has exhibited in galleries, museums and abandoned buildings throughout the US. “Art is about momentum. I don’t let anything get in the way of serving the art and the piece” he says. Originally from Mississippi, being raised in southern traditions well connected to the land, Pierce branched out into his art with a radicalistic heart, giving priority to the emotion in the work. In 2017, he flipped a buffalo head nickel and landed in Astoria Oregon. He has since been represented by the secret gallery in town and resident at the Astoria Visual Arts in Spring 2019 and Winter 2020.

Yasmina Nysten
Finnish/Lebanese artist Yasmina Alexandra Nysten attended ALBA (Academie Libanaise des Beaux-arts) in Beirut Lebanon receiving a BFA in Visual Arts in 2009 and an MFA in Digital Arts, 3D Animation from Pratt Institute New York City in 2013. She has been pursuing a career in visual arts, namely painting, since her graduation. She has exhibited her work in shows such as “Nafas Beirut” (Espace SD), Ayyam gallery Dubai’s “Young Collectors Auctions”, “From Beirut Art and Design scene” Piasa (Paris), “Jabal” Fransabank (Beirut). Her 2009 solo show “The Seven Minute Special” at Kleio Projects New York consisting of large format works on paper depicted individuals in a contorted figurative style. Her work still remains faithful to this asymmetrical experiment conducted on the human form.
Nysten has attempted to adapt this stylistic language into a theoretical axiom, so that the thought may experience the same anamorphic properties as her jagged line. Her solo show “Live @ the crying room” that took place at Tornado Things Gallery in Brooklyn NY in 2019 comprised of large format paintings and works on paper that remained faithful to this principle. She is currently working on a new body of work in Astoria Oregon that will be shown in Beirut and Paris in the year 2023.
